Flutters is a division of KELLY'S COCOONS and has been located on Sanibel Island in Florida for more than 27 years. Kelly Murphy, butterfly artist and owner of Flutters, creates new designs weekly and has over 300 displays available at all times. The species used in each unique display are genuine butterflies that were raised in aviaries throughout the world. The life span of a butterfly in an aviary is approximately 2 weeks, double that of its average life span of 7 days in the wild. After they die, butterflies are collected, preserved and exported. They are then beautifully handcrafted by Kelly into artistic displays, to either hang on the wall or set on a table.
Kelly imports only Superior First Quality butterflies that have been painstakingly preserved and hand-selects each one used in her displays. Kelly takes great pride and every precaution to ensure your long-term enjoyment of her butterfly art.
Flutters also offers custom 14kt. and 18kt. gold sea life jewelry and genuine shipwrecked coins along with Greek, Roman and Land Coins.
